Change The World With Love
Last night my family and I watched the movie Unconditional at a friend’s house. If you have never seen this movie before, I highly recommend it. I had no idea what the movie was even about when it started. But, my, oh my, did it ever bless my heart.
While I have no intention of giving the entire movie away, I will tell you that part of the story line struck a cord with me because of how much I can relate to it. One of the main characters was a writer. However, something tragic happened in this lady’s life, and she lost the desire to write after that. If you’ve read the “About Us” section, you’ll understand that this struck a cord in my heart because I went through something very similar after the death of my only sibling, my sister. Before, the words just seemed to flow like a river. Once tragedy struck, though, it felt as if I was thrown into the middle of the dry Arizona desert.
The principle of the entire movie was based on love. It had such a powerful impact as I watched it. Think about how different the world would be today if we all acted in love. Think of the possibilities if we made a conscious effort to change the world with love. Now that is something to sit and ponder about into the wee hours of the morning.
I firmly believe that each individual possesses the power within themselves to put forth positive energy into the world. I also believe that there is good in every one. Yes, there may have been things in their lives that they’ve done that may not have been the best choice or lead them down the wrong path. However, I believe that just because the person chose wrongly does not mean that they are bad people. I believe that good people often times make bad decisions and are lead astray. I believe they can change, though, if they truly want to do so. I also believe that showing love would have such a huge impact in the world we are living in today.
I know what you’re thinking. You’re only one person … well, some am I. We may not be able to change the entire world right this very minute, but we can have a positive influence on every one we meet. We can show them love by our kind words or acts toward them. Just think! If we showed this one person love, and they went forth and shared that love with someone else. Then that person went forward sharing the love as well. Just imagine the effect it would truly have on the world!
Will you join me as we set out to change the world with love one person at a time?

I can honestly say that my husband and myself live this daily— we help anyone we can and are kind to everybody, simply because it is the right thing to do. The more people we get on this bandwagon, the better.
Remember, though what the Dalai Lama said, ‘People take different roads seeking fulfillment and happiness. Just because they’re not on your road doesn’t mean they’ve gotten lost.’

Hi Denise! It is nice to meet you, too! So glad you stopped by!
I love what you’ve added, and this is true. I still can’t help but think how the world can be changed by just the simple act of loving others. Isn’t that a beautiful thought?
I just smiled from ear to ear when I read that you and your husband do this daily!! Bless you, dear one!
