I have been so blessed as I engaged in community with Good Morning Girls and their Facebook group.

Today’s scripture really thrilled my heart.  I have often said that my girls are my heart and soul.  They are the reason that I’m here on this earth.  I fully believe that.  My children have inspired, encouraged, and uplifted me without even trying.  It just comes naturally for them.

My children are my life!

Here is my SOAP for today (SOAP stands for Scripture, Observation, Application, & Prayer):

S- Psalms 127:3-5 Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a real blessing. The sons a man has when he is young are like arrows in a soldiers hand. Happy is the man who has many such arrows. He will never be defeated when he meets his enemies in the place of judgement.

O – Children are an absolute gift from God above! I’ve known this and felt it so strongly in my heart all of this time. It was so refreshing to see it in scripture!

A – Motherhood can be hard at times, but it is SO worth it! The rewards are endless. Treasure EVERY moment – even when they are challenging you. Others only wish they could be the ones with a challenging teen or strong willed child, yet they have been unable to conceive. Appreciate what you have in your precious children each and every day, which I do with both of my girls. Let them know how much you love them and how blessed you are to be their mother.

P – Dear God, thank you so much for blessing me with my two precious daughters. I never knew love like this before until I became a mother. I thank you, Father, that you have trusted me with these two beautiful miracles from Heaven. Thank you for the gift that they are. Help me to uplift them daily, encouraging them, supporting them, and loving them unconditionally even during storms in our lives that will come up occasionally. We are still blessed. And I am so grateful and thankful to you, Oh Lord, for my girls. They are my heart and soul. Protect them and shelter them, oh God, from all harm now and always. Let them know without a shadow of a doubt how much love I have in my heart for them – always and forever! In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen

If you have children, run to them now and put your arms around them.  Hug them tightly, and let them know how much you truly love them.   Go now … do not hesitate a moment longer.  Their blissful smile as they hug you with their entire being will be your great reward as they share the love they have in their hearts with you in return.
