I have been humming and singing this hymn to myself all day.  Have you ever really stopped to think about the words in this song?

Great is Thy faithfulness

Lord until me

How truly powerful!  Great is Thy faithfulness, oh Lord … how you have been so faithful to me to look after me and provide all that I have ever needed in this life.  Notice that it does not say, “All I have ever wanted,” but instead, “All I have ever NEEDED.”  Big difference!  God truly knows our every need and provides for us with His strong, mighty, powerful, all-knowing, glorious hand!

There have been times in my life when I have wondered how I would make it from day to day, some times from minute to minute, but God has always been faithful and true.  He has always reached down at just the right moment and provided exactly what I needed right when I needed it.

Oh how thankful I am to you, dear Lord, for Thy faithfulness.
