Earlier tonight I put on some Christmas music from a musical we performed at church a few years ago.  Surprisingly, I remembered almost all of the words to the songs!  As I organized my house for the upcoming Christmas festivities, I sang my heart out to every song on this CD, just pouring myself into each word that I would sing.  Then one song came on that stopped me in my tracks.  I remembered it was a favorite of mine before, but this song really spoke to me tonight.  Allow me to share some of the words with you, and as I do … imagine Mary speaking …

God gave me arms to cradle His glory

Some saw star light … I saw the Light of The World

Some felt the wind sigh … I felt the wings of love unfurled

The sky held the stars … Hope held my heart

But I sing … for I held the King of kings

Shattering the darkness with God’s amazing light …
