He Makes All Things New
I have been reflecting on this thought today. It’s Spring Time here in the South. When everything seemed to lie dormant during the winter months, now we see beautiful green emerging on the trees. Bradford Pears are displaying their brilliant white colors against the bluest skies. Before too long, Dogwood Trees will start blooming and “Knock Out Roses” will burst forth with vibrant colors. Oh, I love this time of year.
As I walked around my yard this weekend and saw all of the little wild flowers popping through the earth in a variety of purple and yellow hues, I had to take a moment to thank God for allowing us to see the beauty of his creations.
It doesn’t stop there, though.
Standing next to a massive horse brushing her mane, I allow any and every care in the world to escape my thoughts at that moment in time as I soak in the greatness of our Almighty God. How wonderfully powerful He is to have created the smallest of the wild flowers to the monstrous horse standing before me.
I breathe in all of God’s goodness and exhale any stress that has ever tormented my mind and body.
There’s a lot of Spring Cleaning that goes on around this time of year also. People are trying to clear out the clutter and get everything polished up and looking so pretty for the new, warmer season.
Just as God brings life to all things that have appeared lifeless in the winter months, He can bring new life to YOU! Just as the flowers begin to bloom, so can YOU if you allow Him to work a wonder in your life. As the world engages in their Spring Cleaning in preparation of what is to come, so can YOU prepare your heart. He makes ALL things new … including me and you!

This post makes me want to meditate, but I just don’t know how to ‘clean’ my mind… With so many kids and constant daily duties and interruptions.. it is really hard.

Aimee, I love your comments! I have been there many times before, but it is so important to take time for yourself. We make everyone else a priority. Don’t feel guilty for stealing a few minutes away. You will feel refreshed and renewed!
