Aw, your toes look fantastic with red! I’m not a nail polish type of gal, but I always have at least one red sweater in my closet and I have a pair of VERY red and VERY shiny patent leather Danskos in my closet that I wear on dreary winter days–they make me happy. Thank you for the reminder to not let other people’s opinions influence MY joy, happiness or contentment!

Oh, Anita! I would love those red Danskos! They are so comfortable (I have a pair, but they aren’t nearly as beautiful as the ones you described). I have one red cardigan that I especially love. There’s also a black dress with red trimming, which I just have to wear a necklace and matching tear drop earrings in red with this dress. The look is not complete without the red belt and the red heels. Ah yes, lots of red!

This post came after a young lady that I know got really discouraged this week. People were stating their opinions rather loudly about her, her appearance, and her choices regarding her hair color. She was really down about it all. I tried to encourage her, as the only opinion that truly matters is that of Christ! Then I felt the need to share my story as well. We can all use a reminder every now and then. It’s just their opinions of us, but it’s how we feel about ourselves and our choice to continue on in happiness that matters most!
