What Would You Say?
Have you seen this picture before? If so, have you stopped to consider what you would say to your younger self, or did you just sigh and scroll right on past that post on Facebook?
I considered the question, and I took the time to really search my heart. It is hard to answer this with only two words. However, the following keeps coming back to me each time:
You’re enough!
You matter!
You’re loved!
Be yourself!
Cherish family.
Treasure milestones.
Make time!
Love completely.
Have faith!
Trust God!
Forgive others.
Ask forgiveness.
You’re beautiful!
Find which ever one above speaks to your heart and your inner child. Or, post your own two words to your younger self below, if you feel so inclined. There’s no judgment here at all. This can be your safe haven. You are among friends here.
If you don’t write it out here, consider writing it out privately. The point is to speak lovingly to yourself.
The world tries to tear you down. Don’t do that to yourself. Speak loving words over yourself. There have been far too many times when we have been hard on ourselves. Take this time to show yourself some love. You deserve it!
From this point forward, guard your tongue and your thoughts. Do away with the negative self talk. Be gentle with yourself.
